As a single mother, full time publisher, and aspiring writer, I will have to diffidently agree that I juggle more balls in the air than some of the world’s best jugglers. While others have referred to me as super woman evoking thoughts of a die-hard feminist Amazonian warrior in full regalia with sword in hand ready to do battle for women’s rights. Instead I look in the mirror and see a regular woman getting her reluctant daughters to clean their rooms, exhausted after a Manic Monday event, while squeezing in some time for a manicure after helping demolish a metal tool shed. That is a super woman? I have pondered this question with much reflection. Women have always been powerful despite the patriarchal oppression that has tried to suppress us for several millennia. With estrogen as a must-have, super women come in every imaginable As I research the lives and stories of women; I am inspired and many times moved to tears upon realizing the challenges, and sacrifices they went through to marvelously succeed. In this issue read the stories of everyday women such as Deena Caruso, Pam Walker, & Katy Azar who turned their passion into a booming career. Or be inspired by the likes of Julie Greeley & Suzanne Miller who after enjoying high paying successful jobs in corporate America-- decided it is never too late to stay true to themselves and pursue I dedicate this issue to every super woman whose story remains untold. She routinely travels from home to work to a soccer game to a community meeting all in one day and on warp speed; while managing to do a batch of laundry, prepare dinner and help her child do homework.
