Submitting Photographs

Format

Harvest Rain Press LLC, accepts high-resolution images on a CD in High Resolution JPEG. We are unable to return digital submissions, so be sure to keep a copy of your valued images before sending your disk to us.

Labeling

Include your name, postal and e-mail addresses, phone number, and preferred copyright credit on each of your submissions. You can write on a disk in permanent marker.

Model Release

Photographers must have model releases for all recognizable people in each photo (signed by all the adults who appear in the photo and by the parents or legal guardians of all the children photographed). We ask photographers to provide Harvest Rain Press, LLC copies of the model releases.

Credit, Copyright, Reimbursement and Terms of Use

When photos are submitted to Harvest Rain Press LLC for possible consideration and is used by Harvest Rain Press LLC and its subsidiaries, photographers will receive a copy of the issue featuring their work. The photographer is credited and retains copyright for each photo published. In this case, photographs are contracted for use only for one particular issue and should the need arise to use the photographs for subsequent issues or other purposes, the photographer will be contacted and their permission will be requested and the terms for their usage will be agreed upon by both parties.

When a photo shoot is solicited by Harvest Rain Press LLC and its subsidiaries for editorial content, the photographer will be reimbursed through the following manner: ad exchange equivalent to the dollar amount of their services or part ad exchange and part trade for gift certificates. Photographs solicited and reimbursed in this manner assigns Harvest Rain Press LLC permission to use the photos in subsequent printings of the publication for future editorial, advertisements for our clients or promotional materials in which it appears, whether in paper or electronic format. The terms of use for the photographs is solely for our company and will not be shared with other parties. The photographer is credited and retains copyright for each photo published.

When a photo shoot is solicited by Harvest Rain Press LLC and its subsidiaries for its cover and Fashion Pages as directed by Northwest Woman’s Fashion Editor – P.J. Trzeciak. Photographers will be paid part cash and part trade with an ad or gift certificates. The amount will be determined by both parties depending on the services rendered towards the project. The photographer is credited and retains copyright for the photos published. In submitting photos to Harvest Rain Press LLC and its subsidiaries photographers assign to us the right to use the photos in subsequent printings of the publication for future editorial, advertisements for our clients or promotional materials in which it appears, whether in paper or electronic format. The terms of use for the photographs is solely for our company and will not be shared with other parties. The photographer is credited and retains copyright for each photo published.

Harvest Rain Press LLC will forward to photographers requests from other publications or interested parties for permission to use their photos. Submitting copyrighted images to Harvest Rain Press LLC does not exclude photographers from publishing the same images elsewhere.
